Responsible for supporting the implementation of the data enterprise framework/ program leading to development/ building of effective customer & data analytics and MIS for the purposes of decision making and monitoring of strategic initiatives of the Bank.

Key Accountabilities

Data Governance

Support the implementation of Data Governance policies, procedures & structures ensuring compliance with the information security & privacy requirements for each piece of data

Training of staff on the data governance and business intelligence concepts / solution to enhance business decision-making capabilities

Master Data Management (MDM)

Ongoing compliance with the MDM strategy of the organization and implementation of the standards required as part of the new initiatives. Ongoing management of the existing data sets and maintenance of the data catalogue.

Other Accountabilities

Data Warehouse

Ensure that the storage of the data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is in line with the standards documented as part of the procedures. Periodic housekeeping & maintenance of the data warehouse is performed to enhance performance and resilience

Business Intelligence

Effective usage of business analytical tools/techniques and of the data in developing & enabling management with the desired automated MIS & customer analytics

Ongoing participation in the various projects to ensure implementation of the desired objectives to cater to the internal/external reporting requirements.

Job Context

The roles also contributes in providing support to the stakeholders in troubleshooting day-to-day report related issues/anomalies produced through the datamart.

Authority to escalate data related issues internally with Financial Control & MIS team and externally with the IS&T/Central Operations.

Requirements

Education

Masters degree in business studies (MBA) preferable

Experience and Skills

Professional Qualification (Preferable)

Qualified Computer Engineer/Programmer

Work Experience:

2-4 years post qualification experience preferably business understanding in banking industry.

Hands on experience in languages and application, VBA, ASP JavaScript, SQL, Crystal

Experience in programming, database / data warehouse management and reporting in the banking industry or related industry

Ability to analyse financial data

Willingness to work in flexible schedules
